The Pink Flamingo

A few weeks or damn I should say months, wow how time flies... Anyways a few months back while walking through Ikea with the fam I spotted this glass.  My old mind went blank and had to ask my fam "what bird is this?" lol with a little giggle I was told a flamingo.  Since that day I have seen these things everywhere.

The only time you would see flamingos back in the day were in the plastic form all over someone's front lawn for a big birthday!  Wow how times sure have changed!

Probably the biggest trend I have seen with the flamingo is in the form of wall art.

Oh and then I spot Cheetah is the new Black in a flamingo t-shirt, sold here!  Love Love! However, I will not spend $93 on a t-shirt but I still love it!

These Three Are Everywhere - The "These are Everywhere!" Post

I can't be the only one having these pop up? Three, maybe four colours, with a vibrant tone but still somewhat... ...I don't know... ...pastel? ...faded? ...20's kind of feel?  They've got a serious vintage vibe and I'm loving them!

I noticed them at IDS in a few different places.

On these Owls from Urban Barn for instance

and on these gorgeous glossy tiles

and in a modified colour on these tiles.

I'm out and guess what, I'm looking for a crib.  Who knew right? Its not like I've been on one big baby stuff hunt for months or anything.  Why not?  Let's stop by Ikea, see what they have. And what do they have?  A new crib, the Somnat, and its available in these exact colours.

Keep your eyes open kids, you're going to be seeing these everywhere.

Monday Pics - Good Morning to Ya'll

This weekend was a working Saturday, which really takes the speed out of your engine. Sunday always seems to become a lazy day if you've just worked 6 in a row.  I tried to get out a few things, and glad that I did.  Found some prints, Ikea specials, maybe for the nursery?  Could be a world traveler in there, who knows?

Stopped by my local LCBO and Winners for a couple of treats too!  Nice big box parking lot sunset to finish off the weekend.

Weekend Pics - Jays Game Edition

Got out and about downtown this weekend, though more to get to the Jays game than anything.  I always try to get out to a couple every season.  This little guy with his coke and snap back hat just killed me walking in.

Fresh made Pasta at the St.Lawrence. Soooooooooooo good.

We ran through the Eaton Centre on our way back the the TTC, I always love looking up at these guys soaring overhead.  

And lastly, time for a re-do of our spare bedroom.  I want to make it a little more us friendly, but easily convertible for guests.    This is the Karlstad Sofa Bed at Ikea.  Not bad really, pretty solid and relatively comfortable and fabric choice is okay. I like that its a slightly informal look for a tuxedo sofa.  That being said, I want to find some other options as well to compare.  Its just not easy to find a stylish/comfortable sofa bed. 

Any thoughts or sources I should know about?
