Havaianas & Happy Birthday

What do these two things have in common you might ask?  A little unusual no doubt.  To me, they go hand in hand. 

The snow begins to melt, the birds begin to sing, and spring arrives.  With spring comes warm weather and with warm weather comes flip-flops.  Flip-flops and my Sisters Birthday.  It's become a bit of a tradition for me to get her a pair, because, who wouldn't want a new pair just as spring arrives?

This years gift, a pair of Havaianas, the classic Brazilian sandal. So happy birthday sis!  Too bad I didn't think about it when I last saw you, you could have had these for your trip to the Bahamas tomorrow!

The great thing about these sandals are the massive amounts of pattern and colour.  You can get them in just about anything.  The basic shape hasn't changed, not since 1964, but what a massive variety.

 Tribal? For real? So f'n cool.

So Happy Birthday to my sister and Happy Spring to everyone else!  Get yourself a pair, its just about time.

Spring Colour - Rushed and Rushed Edition

Had to go for a last minute doctors visit! No worries though, all is fine. Ran out of blog time so I thought I'd throw something up here nice a quick for you all today.

First day of spring, makes me think of soft colours and warm spaces.  Take a deep breath and enjoy these, forget about the -10 we woke up to here in Toronto this morning.

Weekend Pics @ Home

    Busy weekend around the house.  Spring was in the air, to me that means spring cleaning time, and spring rearranging time.  Cleaned and cleared out some things that were lying around.

    I did find some time to get out and meet a friend to go over a design dilemma of theirs We grabbed a coffee at second cup and then headed out for a little sourcing. While we were out sourcing I came across these vintage hangers for our hall closet.  I always like the scale of these older hangers.  A little heavier, a little stronger, blackened metal, and the branding is awesome.  

Nassau, Bahamas - trip anyone?

Just two pics to show you this morn.  This is the first time in a long time that the sun has been this far up on a Monday, although its minus 13 this morning, its going to be above by 13 degrees on Thursday.  Warmer weather, sunnier days are almost here.
